Savings Blog

Check out my Savings Blog!!! The link is on the sidebar!!! I LOVE COUPONS!!!!

Pantry/Storage

My storage under my stairs is getting full! I need to organize my pantry upstairs so that some things can go upstairs, but I feel rich with it being so full. You know one nice thing is that I have 5 packs of toilet paper! I HATE buying toilet paper. I feel like it's wasted money! HA but it's so necessary, so it's nice that I hopefully won't have to buy anymore for awhile or at least I can continue stocking up and won't have to almost run out like I usually do :)PS the basket on the bottom shelf is FULL of razors that I didn't pay more the $1 per pack (most are disposible BUT the nice ones, but there are a few NICE razors in there and the refills for those!!!)

Smith's 08-21-09

My cousin texted everyone the other day about 39 cent SOBE's and the killer savings at Smith's. She lives in Vegas so I didn't think anything of it. Then my mom called me today and said she got Hamburger Helper for 84 cents a box. I thought, huh, I wonder if that is part of the back to school sale Smiths & Albertsons are having here (BOX TOPS promotion). Well, they both were. I didn't get everything I need/wanted because I was going to pick up Bryce after I went shopping and I couldn't have anything that needed to be kept cold AND i didn't know what flavors of SOBE Bryce would drink, but this is what I did get

6 Boxes (the smaller ones) Cocoa Puffs
2 Boxes (the smaller ones) Trix
16 Boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars
12 Boxes of Fruit Snacks--Gushers, Fruit Roll-ups & Fruit by the Foot
14 Boxes of Hamburger Helper

For a total of $57.90 + 2.97 Tax

Saved 68.18 in Fresh Values Savings
Saved $16.20 in coupons (I was short two items so I didn't have coupons for 2 of the Hamburger Helpers)

I'm not sure what the percentage of savings that is but it's more then 50%. It was $84.38 in savings. I bought 50 items which makes them all about $1.16 each. I know the cereal was really only 99 cents and the Hamburger Helper was only 64 cents each (well two were 84 cents each) BUT still $1.16 for a box of Nature Valley Granola Bars! Our lunches aren't going to know what hit them.

I'm going back for SOBE's and toaster strudels and some MEAT! LOL. Can't live without meat!!!

I also earned $7.00 in catalina's which I are good towards my next purchase. If I had been smart I would have done TWO transactions and I would have gotten another $7. I got them for the granola bars 5 or more got you $3.50 and the fruit snacks, 5 or more got you $3.50. I could have done 3 transactions and gotten another $4 I think, but oh well. I'm still learning and was in a hurry!

Walgreens 08-21-09

Well, I went to another Walgreens today in hopes to find the Huggies wipes deal (actually went to two but only shopped at one!) and I didn't find ANY. DUMB! I did buy a few items though

2 12 packs Toilet Paper ($4.99 each)
2 24 ct Tylenol Extra Strength ($4.29 each but Buy One Get One Free)
2 Kids Listerine
1 Carmex (I had to get my total to hit $25)

I used $11 in RR & I Buy one get one free listerine coupon, 1 $1 off listerine and 2 $1 off tylenol coupons and I paid $9.00 and I got $8 in RR back!

Can't complain about that.

Walgreens 08-19-2009

I figure it's time to really get cracking on getting my pantry and storage FULL before the baby gets here so that I don't have to do a lot of shopping for a little while. This is what I bought

Albertsons 07-08-09

I hadn't really gone shopping since the last trip I posted about. I mean I did, but I went to Harmon's with NO COUPONS and spent way too much, so nothing to boast about. Albertsons has some really good deals this week. I'm just going to list what I got and the savings because it takes too long to list the coupons and stuff.....

-$5 when you spend $40. Albertsons coupon mailed to me.

I didn't get my Albertson's Ad until AFTER I went shopping and it had 3 double coupons in there. I think I'm going to go back and get some more lean cuisines cuz that's what we eat for lunch.

So here is the breakdown

Before Coupons & Sales
$195.53
-107.65 Sale Prices
-26.83 mfg Coupons
-5.00 Store Coupons

Total 56.05 + 2.58 tax!!! + one free REDBOX rental that came with the free ice cream :)

I also got 3 Catalinas that I wasn't expecting. Catalina are the coupons that print at the register. I got (1) $1.00 your next shopping order for from Country Time, (1) $1.00/6 Lean Cuisines & (1) 2.00/1 off Benefiber Stick Pack.

I found a Lean Cuisines coupon in my coupon stuff when I got home too for a $1.00/3 so if I get 9 more Lean Cuisines @ 1.88 each that's $16.92- (2) $1.00 coupons makes it 14.92 but I'll get another free ice cream and another free Redbox Rental. And the Lean Cuisines are usually 3.79-4.99 each which would be 44.91 + 6.49 ice cream + 1.00 movie=52.40 so it would be a savings of 72%!!!

That's a savings of 71%!!!! WAHOO!!!!
