My cousin texted everyone the other day about 39 cent SOBE's and the killer savings at Smith's. She lives in Vegas so I didn't think anything of it. Then my mom called me today and said she got Hamburger Helper for 84 cents a box. I thought, huh, I wonder if that is part of the back to school sale Smiths & Albertsons are having here (BOX TOPS promotion). Well, they both were. I didn't get everything I need/wanted because I was going to pick up Bryce after I went shopping and I couldn't have anything that needed to be kept cold AND i didn't know what flavors of SOBE Bryce would drink, but this is what I did get
6 Boxes (the smaller ones) Cocoa Puffs
2 Boxes (the smaller ones) Trix
16 Boxes of Nature Valley Granola Bars
12 Boxes of Fruit Snacks--Gushers, Fruit Roll-ups & Fruit by the Foot
14 Boxes of Hamburger Helper
For a total of $57.90 + 2.97 Tax
Saved 68.18 in Fresh Values Savings
Saved $16.20 in coupons (I was short two items so I didn't have coupons for 2 of the Hamburger Helpers)
I'm not sure what the percentage of savings that is but it's more then 50%. It was $84.38 in savings. I bought 50 items which makes them all about $1.16 each. I know the cereal was really only 99 cents and the Hamburger Helper was only 64 cents each (well two were 84 cents each) BUT still $1.16 for a box of Nature Valley Granola Bars! Our lunches aren't going to know what hit them.
I'm going back for SOBE's and toaster strudels and some MEAT! LOL. Can't live without meat!!!
I also earned $7.00 in catalina's which I are good towards my next purchase. If I had been smart I would have done TWO transactions and I would have gotten another $7. I got them for the granola bars 5 or more got you $3.50 and the fruit snacks, 5 or more got you $3.50. I could have done 3 transactions and gotten another $4 I think, but oh well. I'm still learning and was in a hurry!
